There’s nothing greater than being able to spend ample quality time with your family. There really is no place like home.

The world is a big, beautiful ball of wonder. Why not take the time to travel and explore every treasure that it has in store?

Skiing, hiking, biking, snorkeling, and more! The best outdoor adventures are the ones that bring your family closer together.

Instead of spending their days toiling away at someone else’s dream, they’ve managed to build their own. Instead of kissing his wife and kids goodbye every morning to be chained to a desk for eight hours, Ryder Erickson gets to devote all of his time to being a full-time husband and a full-time dad to his seven amazing children.

Growing up in a small town, Ryder Erickson could hardly have imagined that someday he would be cage diving with Great White sharks off of the coast of South Africa or viewing the World Cup from a private box in Brazil.

While he was working tirelessly as a young entrepreneur, Ryder took on some side ventures, one of which happened to be working as a personal trainer at a health and fitness club. One fateful day, as he was wiping the sweat off a stationary exercise bike, a member walked up to him and asked, “Hey, are you keeping your options open, or are you planning on working here for the rest of your life?” Since that door has opened Ryder has been working incredibly hard to make the most out of his life.

Ryder realized that he could be doing more, and he was happy to have met someone who was able to open those specific doors for him. He was a single 20-something at the time, but he knew that he wanted to be able to provide for his future family. It was after this brief encounter with a stranger that Ryder decided to pursue that promising new opportunity.

In the midst of building his business, he met Nicole Nelson. At the time, she was also striking out on her own. It didn’t take long for the two to hit it off. Though Nicole has always been a little more reserved, and Ryder is more outgoing and outspoken, the two make an incredible pair—bouncing positivity off one another and fueling the wildfire of their success together.

Fast forward to seventeen years later, the couple have seven beautiful children and feel beyond blessed to be able to spend all day every day with their kids. Thanks to their hard work, positivity, patience, and persistence, the Erickson family now gets to reap all of the marvelous benefits of those characteristics.

They travel all over the world as a couple and as a family. They’re able to commit themselves to their favorite causes and charities. If you asked any one of Ryder’s seven children what their father does for a living, they’d be sure to reply, “He helps others.” And he really does. His primary and secondary ambitions, in order, are to provide a first-class life for his family and to help others do the same for their respective families.

He wants everyone who marvels at his success to know, “You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be willing to get out there and do it, get out there and chase your dreams. The freedom to fail gives you the freedom to succeed.”
